Lorenzo Munari is one of the first in Italy who graduated in classic accordion at the conservatory G. Rossini in Pesaro. He has studied musicology at the University in Bologna. He was the Italian rappresentative in the Mondial Trophy of accordion in Faro (Portugal) in 1996 and he won the third prize. He founded the “Luigi Valcavi School of music” in Reggio Emilia and has composed a lot of original music for performers and ensembles.

Interested in Piazzolla’s music, he has made a Cd live with the music of the Argentine composer. He plays classical and contemporary music with many colleagues and instruments, as you can see by visiting the pages of this site describing his musical projects.

He often takes part to masterclasses and music competitions as a host and a jury.
